BREAST AUGMENTATION procedures increase the size, and change the shape of the breasts, according to patient's body configuration and desires. Choosing the breast implant depends on the surgeon preferences and the patient conditions. The best results for cosmetic purposes are the textured cohesive silicone gel implants. The FDA controversy has not showed any relationship between the use of silicone gel and breast cancer or autoimmune diseases. The saline filled implants are more rigid and may lose volume through the valve or the outer envelope.
